Table protocol

The ear is placed horizontally on the glass above the blue background. It allows to avoid shadows under the object on the one hand, as in the case of lying directly on the background or frosted glass. On the other hand, get rid of the support for the ear and frame ColorChecker, as in the case with the vertical arrangement of the object. Using this method, it is possible to shoot a facial projection of the ear. For this, the camera was fixed on a crane-like stand at a height of 150 cm.

For illumination, two pulsed light sources Falcon TE-300 (flash intensity is set to the position 1.0 and 1.4), softboxes Falcon 60x60 cm, camera Canon 600D, the lens EF-S 28-135mm f / 3.5-5.6 were used. Shooting parameters: shutter speed 1/160, aperture 10, ISO 200, focal length 112 mm, shooting in RAW format. The white balance was set when the RAW file developed on the white background of the ColorChecker.

The distance from the camera to the object is 70 cm, from the light sources to the object is 60 cm, the table height is 60 cm, the height of the light table with glass (distance from the object to the blue background) is 20 cm. The scheme of placement of the camera and light sources relative to the object is shown in Fig. a, the result of the image of the protocol obtained in the result of the execution in Fig. b.
